Known to advocate a clean and serene community with modern futuristic township perspective, the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao District is rising up as more than just a destination for business and leisure activities, but a home and a place to experience unison and harmony, where it proudly promotes wellness. One of the township’s unique features that encompass its developmental and infrastructure phases is its promotion for healthy lifestyle through the existence of Bike Lanes in the community. Along the Megaworld Boulevard, the community’s main thoroughfare, part of the 8-lane road is the Bike Lanes intended for commuters and visitors to enjoy biking activities, as well as other physical routine like jogging, walking with pets and more. Here, you get to enjoy the refreshing scenery of the township while doing your healthy morning or afternoon physical exercise.
But what makes the Bike Lanes in Iloilo Business Park truly beneficial? Safety increases when everyone knows their place.
The existence of Bike Lanes in the community gives the right space for bicyclists and commuters to know their place, where they can be safe from passing vehicles along the road. What car owners and public transport vehicles overlook is that bike lanes clarify where everyone should be and improve traffic flow. They’re like a demilitarized zone in the way they separate the factions: cars, bikes, and pedestrians. Bike Lanes provide ample space for commuters and bicyclists to walk freely.
Bike lanes reduce automobile congestion.
Next time you’re stuck in traffic, try to imagine what would happen if half the motorists were cyclists. For every commuter who switches from driving to biking, that’s one less car on the road. More full-time bicyclists also would reduce the competition for parking spaces. Bike lanes are a traffic-calming tool.
Bike lanes similarly narrow the road and force motorists to ease up on the gas. Bike lanes are a crucial piece of the vision zero strategy for drastically reducing traffic deaths.
Bicycles are better for the environment.
Bicycling, like walking, produces no significant carbon emissions. If we want less polluted air in the township, we need to make it easier and safer to commute by bike. Bike lanes are among the cleanest ways to travel.
Bicycling is good for your health.
Biking burn calories in your body that leads to your healthy well-being. Not only is that competitive with a cardio workout at the gym, it provides an antidote to a long day of sitting in the office. Because some people feel uncomfortable biking in traffic, bike lanes make it easier to enjoy this low-cost form of exercise.
Bike lanes help buffer pedestrians from speeding cars.
Not only do bike lanes encourage cyclists to stay off the sidewalks, they act as a buffer between pedestrians and moving vehicles. As long as cyclists look both ways at crosswalks and yield to pedestrians, bike lanes make Philadelphia a better walking city.
Bike lanes are not just for bikes.
Yes, Bike Lanes are not just for bikes alone. It’s for everybody who loves to appreciate the township and its lifestyle scenery. Here, people can do their daily routine of exercise, walk their pets and jog any time of the day. They get to see the impressive changes and developments in the township. Most of all, it helps them appreciate the good life living in a vibrant community. Bike Lanes reflects that harmony within the community because this will be a shared space of lifestyle, where visitors, commuters and onlooker can walk freely, meet each other and enjoy life right in the center of a promising community.
